Pioneer Arts, incorporated is a non-profit association that works to promote the visual arts and artists of Western Nevada County.   It was incorporated in 1966.  Today, Pioneer Arts provides a friendly and supportive meeting place for artists of all skill levels and for others who are interested in the visual arts.  Activities are designed to inspire and encourage members and guests in their artistic pursuits.
HOW TO JOIN
Those interested in becoming members of Pioneer Arts are invited to attend the next meeting at.

address, city, state, phone, Zip & e-mail  along with annual dues of $35.00 payable  on July 1 and cover the 12 month period ending June 30th.

The fee includes a subscription to the Nuggets, a newsletter which provides information about club activities and art events.  It also includes having a page on this web site.
TO ENCOURAGE AND INSPIRE
Meetings:  Pioneer Arts schedules 10 general meetings each on the second Wednesday of the month.  The highlight of the general meeting is the presentation by a guest artist in the form of a demonstration or lecture. These informative sessions are open to the public and are free unless we secure a nationally recognized artist, then a small fee will be charged to the public.  During the course of the meeting, a short break provides the opportunity to socialize or ask questions of the guest artist.

Five of the general meetings (November-April are held at 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.  The remaining five meetings (May-June  August-October are from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  Month of December  Pioneer Arts membership meet at a private home or restaurant to celebrate the holiday season.
